Whenever I start feeling funny, my belly feels queasy, and I feel like I may need to start looking for a bathroom ASAP, I know it’s better to be safe than sorry. Food poisoning or a stomach virus can really take a toll on your body. In order to lessen the effects, I take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar as soon as I start feeling any suspicious symptoms. The probiotics, known as “the mother”, that are contained in apple cider vinegar help quiet down whatever is happening in the stomach. If the stomach issues persist, I repeat the one tablespoon dose a couple hours later. Whenever I take the apple cider vinegar at the start of any stomach issues, I usually feel better the same day.

This is the kind of apple cider vinegar I use. I also like Bragg Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar, but I like the value of Trader Joe’s products. Apple cider vinegar also makes a great salad dressing ;-).
